Understanding the Types of Cholesterol
What foods are healthy for those with high blood fats? For starters, there are two types of cholesterol. There is good HDL and the so-called bad LDL. Therefore, it is important to include foods in your diet that will increase good levels, for example, foods such as avocados, red wine, or sardines. Also, it is important to consume foods that do not contain a large amount of bad types, such as pizza, high-fat meats, or snacks with trans fats.
Bad cholesterol includes low-density lipoprotein. HDL, on the other hand, is found in high density. The good HDL helps to eliminate low-density lipoprotein, which is the bad type that damages our bodies. Therefore, consuming foods that promote good levels and reducing the consumption of foods that are high in bad types helps prevent the damage caused by bad forms in particular, and high levels in general.
